VCE Study Camp

On the first week of the Term Break VCE Study Camp commenced between the days, 24th of September- 29 September. The Lyrebird Campsite was a great location for our students to relax with the beauty of nature and delicious food. Intensively timetabled classes assisted students to establish a study routine before their exams. Having teachers from various campuses helped our students to refocus on their strengths and weaknesses.

Guest speakers were another highlight of the camp. They inspired our students with their own experiences or with some very valuable advice for their future. A mindfulness/relaxation session was a great opportunity for everyone to practice different strategies in order to deal with stress and anxiety.

Students had great fun with afternoon activities such as bush walking, archery, flying fox, rock climbing and various team building games.

It was a great team effort by all of the VCE teachers who made this camp a productive event for the 73 VCE students that participated.

Some student feedback:

“It was a good break from our normal routine and I actually felt productive.”

“VCE Study camp is productive, efficient and an unforgettable experience. The timetables were strict but there was also an equivalent balance of freedom given to us. To study intensely by the nature with an unlimited supply of coffee and the support from your teachers made the trip truly amazing.”

“The sessions at the study camp were beneficial and the activities were fun and memorable. It was an overall success.”

“Very productive, and at the same time, most enjoyable experience with students.”

“For my first camp with the school, I'd say it was a really good experience that I learnt a lot from and had a good time.”

“The highlight of the camp for me was the fact that both work and activities were incorporated and therefore it never got boring.”
